Sista Sessions was born in 2007 in les 3Valleès in France as part of a local initiative dreamed up by a few seasonnaire girls to get more chicks in the park to ride with. The project was creatively named “the Girls Project” and it consisted of video and party nights, a Girlie Camp Day (lessons and a small jam session) and the first ever Sista Sessions in Meribel Moonpark, which had lessons, comptition and a photoshoot. After a few years break the event returned in 2010 with a new location, the Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen, very much running with the same ideology as before, and this time due to the backing of some great partners and sponsors we have been able to grow the event into something special, and offer some prize money and tangible prizes such as a one year sponsorship to the best non sponsored girl. The 2011 Rip Curl Sista Sessions will be shaped up the same way, with some added features that have been developed based on the feedback of riders. It will spread over four days this year giving a more time for the photoshoots, lessons, workshops, parties as well as the 3Star TTR Slopestyle Competition and the 3Star Burn Rail Session. Both the slopestyle and rail jam contest qualification take place on friday and the finals on saturday. The slopestyle is held on the "public" line which consists of two sets of rails or boxes before the approximately 8m and 15m kickers. The mission of Rip Curl Sista Sessions is to provide a platform for the female snowboarders to progress the sport and to showcase their talent and be in the spotlight. We invite all level snowboard girls to join us in Mayrhofen, Austria on the 19-23.01.2011 and take advantage of the great event packages on our website. TTR Rip Curl Sista Sessions 2011 - Rail Jam

The 2011 TTR Rip Curl Sista Sessions featured a chilled rail jam format allowed the girls to bring their A-game to the table, while having fun. Out of the 39 Girls in the Friday qualifications, 12 girls went through to the Burn Rail Jam Session finals on Saturday. In the final, Croatian Ana Rumiha destroyed the rail session. Riding with legit style and a technical level that most guys can't match, wrapping things up with a Frontside Blunt to boardslide revert. In second place, Urška Pribošič rocked some true nose-presses with serious style, while local Anna Gasser took third place with a Frontside Board Pretzel.

TTR Rip Curl Sista Sessions 2011 - Slopestyle Finals with Silje Norendal

Saturday 22nd saw the finals of the 3Star TTR Rip Curl Sista Sessions kick off in style. Ten girls made it through to the semi-finals, but due to early fog and difficult visibility the organizers, judges and riders agreed to change the format, moving all riders into one final with 4 runs while keeping the best-run-counts format. This format let the girls take risks knowing they only had to nail it once. The anticipation was pumping throughout the day, as John Weaver kept everyone in great spirits even during the occasional snowy spell.Rip Curl Sista Sessions wrapped up with Silje Norendal (NOR) on the top of the Slopestyle podium, after throwing down an awesome run: frontside lipslide to fakie, switch 50-50 to switch frontboard, switch back 180 indy grab, and sealing the deal with a front rodeo 540.

TTR Skullcandy Sista Sessions 2010

A wrap up of the fantastic 2010 Skullcandy Sista Sessions, a Swatch TTR 3Star all womens snowboarding event in the Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen, Austria. In one action-packed day the participants could join in on various activities: beginner lessons, small jam sessions and photo shoots, while the main focus was on the 3Star Swatch TTR Slopestyle competition. Watch as Slovenias, Urška Pribošič, takes first place, closely followed by the talented rookie Christina "Tini" Gruber from Austria and Great Britain's Claire Frost.
