Last winter we did celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Shred down” and the 5th anniversary of “Austrian Masters”. Reason enough for the n.asa, the Ästhetiker Crew and the Shreadheadz to unite these two outstanding contests to one sick shred event: The “SHRED DOWN AUSTRIAN MASTERS” It is a combination of the “Shred Down Austrian Masters” Superpipe competition (TTR 3* event) in Innsbruck (Nordpark), an open contest where the “Austrian Halfpipe Champion” is going to be crowned and the “Shred Down Austrian Masters” Slopestyle competition (TTR 3* event) in Westendorf (Boarders Playground) where the best 3 men, best 3 girls and best 3 rookies of every “Austria Cup” tour stop fight it out for the title of the “Austrian Slopestyle Champion”. A legends ranking, jib sessions in Westendorf and the parties on both weekends will round off this unique shred event.

Die Austrian Masters sind die österreichischen Meisterschaften. Die Meistertitel werden in den Disziplinen Superpipe (25.02.-28.02.2010) und Slopestyle (04.03.-06.03.2010) vergeben. Es gibt 2 Altersklassen für männliche und weibliche Teilnehmer: bis 16 Jahre – und ab 16 Jahre.

Für den Slopestyle qualifiziert man sich über die „Austria Cup Tour“ , ca. 13Tourstops über Österreich verteilt (info unter www.powdern.com). Pro Stop qualifizieren sich die besten 3 Herren, 3 Damen und 3 Rookies. Der Superpipe Event ist offen für alle mit Qualifikation vor Ort. Die Austrian Masters gibt es seit 5 Jahren und seit 4 Jahren sind wir Teil der TTR Tour. Neu ist heuer die Kooperation mit den Shredheadz und den Ästethikern anlässlich des 10 Jahresjubiläum „ Shred Down“. Slopestyle Finale ist heuer der „Shred Down“ in Westendorf.

TTR SHRED DOWN AUSTRIAN MASTERS 2011 - Halfpipe Clip

Annual get-together of the Austrian snowboarder elite.The national snowboard community is once again going to fight it out for the title of the Austrian master in the disciplines of halfpipe and slopestyle and for valuable TTR worldranking points. The pipe competition will take place from the 3rd to the 6th March on the Nordkette in Innsbruck and the slopestyle competition will take place from the 10th to the 13th March in the Boarders Playground in Westendorf.Many big names of the local and international snowboard scene including the Ästhetiker and last year's over-all winner Rudi Kröll, local hero Simon Pircher, serial winner Julia Baumgartner and over-all rookie champion 2010 Clemens Schattschneider just to name a few, will again be part of the show. They are going to offer shredding at it's highest level.Apart from the title decisions there will again be much more on offer. Numerousside events, for example the parties on both weekends featuring well known bands and DJs, will round off the event. This year's main event in Westendorf will start off with the „K2 JIB KNIGHTS". This warm up jib session will take place on the 11th March at the Talstation Alpenrosenbahn. The riders will present their skills on a stair-set with a down-flat-down and a down rail. The best tricks will be rewarded on the spot.
