It was a busy day of competition under blue skies at the 6Star Burton US Open in Stratton, Vermont. Thursday was the first day for the women to compete in the slopestyle as well as halfpipe qualifiers. They were later joined by the men in the halfpipe for the men's qualifications. Despite the soft snow, the level of riding was high and much is expected to be coming up tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Friday will the first day of semi finals and finals in Stratton. With the first format, the slopestyle, the first batch of 1000 Swatch TTR ranking points will be handed out. Expect to see Peetu Piiroinen (FIN), Gjermund Braaten (NOR), Marko Grilc (SLO), Chas Guldemond (USA), Enni Rukajärvi (FIN), Sina Candrian (SUI), Jamie Anderson (USA) and Sarka Pancochova (CZE) among others to fight hard for some of thos final 6Star points.
