Japan, because everything is so different and the people are crazy.

What does a normal day consist of for you when you are not snowboarding?
Skating or doing something else as fun as snowboarding.

How has TTR affected your snowboarding career?
It was a good way to start, because the contest is big and the set up is amazing and it’s the best way to progress and get known by everyone.

TTR Oakley Shaun White Air & Style Beijing 2011 - Wrap Up

Ulrik Badertscher (NOR) won the Oakley Shaun White Air & Style Beijing competition in the Olympic Bird's Nest stadium tonight, followed by 2 Norwegian wingmen Torstein Horgmo and Stale Sandbech. Ulrik received the coveted Air & Style Ring of Glory and 1,000 TTR World Ranking points.Ulrik's winning run was a very clean backside rodeo 1260, which was also awarded Red Bull's Best Trick. Torstein Horgmo commented: 'Norway did OK today. There is no secret to it, we just all got juiced and we just follow some bad ass dudes, we just try to keep up.'Favorites Sebastien Toutant (CAN) and Seppe Smits (BEL) both failed to reach the podium like last year. Seppe had the best results in the first round, but didn't manage to land his three attempts in the second round. Seb's cab 1260 double cork wasn't good enough to beat Ulrik's smooth double backside rodeo 12 Indy Grab, which gave him the highest score of the second round.

Oakley & Shaun White present TTR Air & Style Beijing 2011

In last years Oakley Shaun White Air & Style the riders benefitted from ideal conditions on the ramp and kicker, towering almost 40 meters above the ground of the Olympic Soccer Stadium, enabling the riders to perform tricks with a long airtime. Thus 8,800 spectators enjoyed a series of double corks and other tricks with the highest level of difficulty and outstanding style. The young Chinese crowd was enthusiastic about the athletic performances of the 16 world-class snowboarders and two local Chinese heroes as well as about the show of Chinese music super star Wang Leehom.

TTR Burton New Zealand Open 2011 - Slopestyle Wrap Up

Canadian rider, Mark McMorris, and American, Jamie Anderson, took the first 5Star Slopestyle titles of the 2011/12 TTR World Tour season at the 2011 Burton New Zealand Open. The slopestyle finals went down at Cardrona Alpine Resort with optimal weather conditions making for some great riding.  All riders who competed in slopestyle at the New Zealand Open have all earned ranking points towards both the TTR Slopestyle Tour Rankings and the TTR Overall Tour Ranking lists.The competition was run using a best-of-three-run format with women and men alternating on each run.  The women took to the course first and it was an immediate battle between two-time TTR World Tour Champion, Jamie Anderson, and Norwegian competition queen, Kjersti Buaas. Jamie held the lead all day and won with a run that included a switch backside 180 tailtap, a front blunt to fakie and a half Cab 5-0 to backside 180 on the jib section and a switch backside 540, frontside 360 and a backside 540 on the jump line. Kjersti came in a close second and Jordie Karlinski (USA) took home third place. The men took the last run of the day and Mark McMorris won the title with a run that consisted of a full Cab stall, Cab 270 frontboard to fakie and a half Cab to backside 360 in the jib section and a backside double cork 1080, frontside 900 and ended with a Cab 1260 on the jump line. Fellow Canadian, Sebastien Toutant, was right behind Mark in second place and Norwegian up-and-comer, Stale Sandbech rounded out the podium in third.

TTR Billabong Ante Up 2011 - Final Wrap Up

American rider, Eric Willett, took the first 5Star Big Air title of the 2011/12 TTR World Tour season at the second annual Billabong Ante Up competition held atop Whistler Mountain in Canada.  The sun was hidden behind the clouds for most of the day, but riders put on a great performance for the crowd of spectators at the top of the mountain where Sebastien Toutant (CAN) came in a close second behind Willett and Dash Kamp (USA) took home third place.  The Ante Up started out with a qualifying round of 30 snowboarders in the early afternoon that was whittled down to 10 men for the finals.  The start list was packed full of riders who are usually super consistent on big air kickers like Seppe Smits (BEL), Chas Guldemond (USA), Gjermund Braaten (NOR) and Roope Tonteri (FIN) but they just couldn't seem to put their landing gear down on the 90-foot gap jump.  This opened the door for Eric Willett who took numerous podium spots at Big Air and Slopestyle competitions last season and for Sebastien Toutant who won the Ante Up last year.  Eric Willett landed a smooth switch backside double cork 1260 to take $20,000 USD for his win today.  Sebastien Toutant was awarded $12,500 USD for landing a Cab double cork 1260 and Dash Kamp walked away with a cool $8,000 for his backside double cork 1080.

2011/12 TTR Season Begins At Billabong Ante Up

Billabong is proud to announce Billabong Ante Up, a 5star TTR World Snowboard Tour event back for its second year, taking place on July 1st, 2011 in Whistler, British Columbia on the top of Whistler Mountain. The event is the marquee kick-off event for the TTR World Snowboard Tour for the 2011-2012 season and is a qualifying event for the 6Star Billabong Innsbruck Air and Style event in February 2012.Billabong Ante Up will take place at the top of the Whistler Mountain, steps from the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola building with 30 of the world's top snowboarders competing in a Big Air format. Riders will hit an 85-90 foot big air jump, with $50,000 USD in prize money and valuable TTR World Tour snowboard points up for grabs. Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour 2010/11 Season Highlights

Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) and Jamie Anderson (USA) were officially crowned the 2010/11 Swatch TTR World Tour Champions at the 29th annual 6Star Burton US Open today. After their amazing performances throughout this 10-month long season, they were each rewarded with the TTR Champion trophies and $50,000 USD along with the glory of both becoming multiple TTR World Tour title-holders. Peetu and Jamie are no strangers to the TTR podium. This is Jamie's second TTR World Tour title and Peetu has made history once again earning a remarkable third consecutive TTR title. The Burton US Open is the last major stop of the 2010/11 TTR World Tour season and played host to the official Swatch TTR World Tour awards ceremony at the close of the event.This season, Peetu competed on three different continents and did not discriminate when choosing what types of events to attend. Peetu does it all and does it all well. He began this season in Asia at the 6Star Shaun White Oakley Air & Style in Beijing, China where he placed fifth in the big air competition. From Asia, he moved on to Europe where he took fourth place at the 6Star O'Neill Evolution halfpipe in Davos, Switzerland. Peetu found himself back on the podium when he took down the 6Star Burton European Open halfpipe title and placed second in slopestyle. And, at the 6Star Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck, Austria, Peetu took another second place. Just one week later, he won the 6Star Nike 6.0 Air & Style in Munich, Germany, which was the result that ended up clinching his TTR World Tour title for the 2010/11 season.Jamie dominated in the 2010/11 season claiming victories on slopestyle courses all over the globe, starting off with the 5Star New Zealand Open and the 6Star O'Neill Evolution slopestyle competitions. She went on to win the 6Star Burton European Open and the Oakley Arctic Challenge slopestyle events, which set her high above the rest of her competitors. Her second TTR World Tour title was confirmed at the Burton US Open where she took second place in slopestyle.

This Saturday snowboardings elite meets at the Bergisel Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria for the TTR Air & Style Innsbruck 2011. Riders from all over the world will battle it out, Big Air style, in front of a massive crowd of snowboard fans to win the infamous Ring Of Glory. TTR Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck 2011 - Trailer

The Bergisel stadium in Innsbruck, Austria will, once again, host a festive gathering of snowboarders for the legendary 6Star Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck.  The event will feature a massive straight jump for the 16 invited riders from around the world who will be competing for a share of the rich 75.000€ prize purse, the coveted "Air & Style Ring of Glory" and a maximum of 1000 TTR ranking points.  The battle for the TTR Tour Champion title is really heating up and the Air & Style Innsbruck event could be a crucial result in the race to the final event, the Burton US Open, in March.  Riders will also get another shot at a 6Star title one week after the Innsbruck event at the Nike 6.0 Air & Style Munich taking place on February 12th, 2011. An all-star crew of riders will be dropping in on the impressive ramp constructed out of 280-tons of steel and wood on Saturday's finals in the Air & Style's signature "head-to-head" format. This is an exciting and unpredictable format where one rider is knocked out of contention in each round until there is one victorious rider at the end of the night.  The riders will have 3 runs in each round. Last year's winner, Slovenian Marco Grilc, will be ready to reclaim his title and to boost his TTR ranking from his current World No. 26 position. Battling for the top spot in the TTR rankings is Swiss wildchild, Iouri Podladtchikov, and the two-time Swatch TTR Tour Champion Peetu Piiroinen. With a good result here, Piiroinen could move from his current World No. 3 position to take over Iouri's tour lead. Both riders have their eyes set on the title, as does the slopestyle prodigy, Sebastien Toutent (CAN), who already took the 6Star Oakley Shaun White Air & Style Beijing by storm back in December with a Cab 1260 Double Cork.Anticipation for the main event will begin on Friday, February 4th when riders will gather in downtown Innsbruck for the "riders draw" which will determine the starting order for the first round of competition.  Action on the jump will kick off on ...

TTR O'Neill Evolution 2011 - TV Show Highlights - Slopestyle

10 minutes of highlights from the TTR O'Neill Evolution TV Show. Watch one of the worlds best snowboarding events in Full HD!The 6Star O'Neill Evolution slopestyle course was built next to the halfpipe at the bottom of Jakobshorn mountain and featured two challenging features for riders to hit. The first was a kicker with two super poppy take-offs measuring 40-feet and 55-feet and the second was a choice of three rails including an up-flat-down box, a pole jam and a flat-down rail. Sebastien Toutant was on fire on the slopestyle course today and won the finals with a Cab double cork 1260 to a backside boardslide to underflip out on his final run. Seb had this to day about his win, "Second 6Star win of the season is so amazing today. To ride with my good friends and every run we were stepping it up. On my last run I was outside of the podium and stomped my best Cab 12 ever. I plan to go to BEO next and give it my best on the TTR Tour." Fellow Canadian, Mark McMorris was able to put down a Cab double cork 1260 to frontside tailslide to 450 out after a hard slam on his first run to take second place. And, American rider, Eric Willet, who has been making a name for himself over the past two seasons in the contest scene took third place with a switch backside double cork 1260 to backside boardslide to 450 out.

After 4 years away the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour is back in Munich, Germany with the 6Star Nike 6.0 Air & Style event.
